4 Days in Bali with a Toddler: A Family-Friendly Itinerary

Bali is a dream destination for many, and with the right planning, it can also be wonderfully family-friendly. This 4-day, 3-night itinerary is tailored for families traveling with toddlers or young children, offering a relaxing blend of culture, food, and fun—without the stress of long drives or packed schedules.

With a toddler in tow, this trip revolved around our little one. Every café and restaurant we visited was chosen with family-friendliness in mind.

Day 1: Arrival in Bali – Canggu Cafés and a Beachside Photoshoot

Upon arriving at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, we pre-arranged a private car for six hours to explore Canggu before checking into our hotel, Pullman Bali Legian Beach.

Our first stop was Ring Djinar Coffee & Resto—a cozy café with excellent coffee, light bites, and a stunning view of the rice paddies. We appreciated not having to go all the way to Ubud to enjoy the scenery. The café also had a small play area with a slide and seesaw, which our toddler loved. As we weren’t very hungry, we simply enjoyed some coffee and the tranquil surroundings.

Next, we had lunch at Made's Warung Berawa, a well-loved local spot with plenty of kid-friendly options. The Nasi Campur was a highlight. In addition to Indonesian cuisine, they have pizza for the kids! Their in-house playground kept our toddler entertained while we enjoyed our meal.

After checking into Pullman Bali Legian Beach, we let our toddler explore the kids' club while we relaxed. Later in the day, we had a beachside photoshoot to capture some special moments.

For dinner, we dined at Fork Bakery and Grill, known for its warm ambiance and hearty meals. Fork Bali is a cozy, all-day dining spot located in the heart of Legian, known for its family-friendly atmosphere and hearty comfort food.

Open 24 hours, it’s a convenient option for travelers arriving at odd hours or looking for a relaxed meal any time of day. The menu features a mix of Western and local dishes, including burgers, pasta, and Indonesian classics. With its laid-back vibe, attentive staff, and convenient location near the beach and hotels, Fork Bali is a great choice for families and casual diners alike. Unfortunately most of the item that we wanted to ordered was sold out. We visited again the next morning!

Day 2: Easter Fun, Resort Swaps, and Sunset Dining

We began the day with breakfast at Fork and love the pastries! By late morning, we checked out and transferred to Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran. The kids' club at the resort was an immediate hit, and we spent the afternoon in the kids club as well as relaxing by the lagoon pool.

For dinner, we visited Samasta Lifestyle Village, a small open-air mall adjacent to the resort. We chose Wahaha Pork Ribs, which offered generous portions in a casual setting. They also provided coloring materials for children, which we found very thoughtful.

Day 4: Coffee, Beach Time, and a Relaxed Departure

On our final morning, we enjoyed breakfast at a nearby café before spending time at the Jimbaran beach. Our toddler played in the sand while we relaxed under the resort-provided umbrella and towels.

We returned to the hotel to clean up and ordered seafood lunch via Grab. This was an ideal choice for a warm day.

If your flight is in the evening, consider requesting a late check-out or booking a day-use room. Instead, we chose to have a massage and were pleasantly surprised that we could still use the hotel facilities even after checking out. We book a 60 minute balinese massage at Hua Spa. Although the room is dated, the masseuse did a great job!

For our farewell dinner, we returned to Samasta Lifestyle Village for Korean food at Magal Korean BBQ. The bibimbap and naengmyeon were delicious. The seafood pancake was less impressive, so we would recommend skipping it.
