Pan Pacific Singapore Pacific Harbour Studio Room Review

Open in 1986, Pan Pacific Singapore has been operating for 34 years. The luxury hotel has withstood many changes over the years. Situated in Marina Bay, the hotel is a popular staycation choice among many Singaporeans.

Located in the prime Marina Bay district of Singapore, the hotel is 10 minutes walking distance to many attractions. Plus, there are many shopping malls and restaurants nearby at your convenience. To top it off, with three MRT station - Promenade station, City hall station and Esplanade station nearby, one can explore Singapore by public transport easily. 

We decided to spend our Christmas over at the Pan Pacific Singapore and book a Pacific Club room. Being a GHA Discovery Black member, we were given a two-tier upgraded to the Pacific Harbour Room. Checking in was fuss-free with a dedicated area for Discovery member. As we visited during Christmas Season, we received a set of Christmas delight and fruit platter as the welcome gift.

After getting our keys, we were greeted with a stunning view of Marina Bay from the 65 sqm room at level 36. The room comes with a balcony, bar counter, living area as well as the main bedroom. Beautifully furnished with a marble design, the hotel offers one of the best hotel room in Singapore.

Bath Room

The bathroom was designed with an open concept with an option to be closed with a sliding door. The bathroom comes with a Japanese style toilet bowl with bidet function as well as a huge square bathtub!

Living area & Bar

The living area is located between the bathroom and bedroom, creating a beautiful space for guest to enjoy. With mini-bar complimentary (only non-alcohol beverages) for guest staying in the Pacific Club and above room type. Nespresso coffee machine and TWG tea are available for guest too.

Bedroom

Located near the end of the room, the King size bed had an amazing view overlooking Marina Bay. The king-size bed comes with a firm mattress with a comfortable liner to ensure that you have quality sleep. Besides, the room comes with 2 TV for guest to enjoy at the same time - One located in the bedroom and another in the living area. 

Balcony

We were lucky to have a room facing the Marina Bay. The balcony had an unobstructed view over-looking Marina Bay. With lights up among the skyscraper and garden by the bay, the night view is stunning! We even caught fireworks from our room! Sadly, it was not covered and we are not able to get out of the room when it rain.  

Tip: The hotel was renovated in 2005 and 2012. Thus, there are different type of Pacific Harbour Studio rooms in Pan Pacific Hotel – Refurbished and Non-refurbished. Ask for the refurbished rooms for a better experience as the Non-refurbished ones are pretty dated.

Pacific Club Lounge @ Level 38

As we book the Pacific Club room, it includes entry to the Pacific Club at Level 38 and complimentary non-alcoholic drinks from the in-room minibar. After visiting several hotel lounges in Singapore, I must say that the food quality is definitely the best among the ones I’ve visited.

High Tea for pacific guest starts from 3pm – 5pm. One can expect a wide range of cakes and dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth. In case you do not know, Pan Pacific Hotel prides themselves as one of the best patisseries in Singapore. No doubt they serve one of the best pastries in the lounge. Plus, they are too pretty to resist! Besides the sweet treats, one can expect amazing dim sum and savoury pastries too!

With canape and free flow of alcoholic beverages from 6pm – 8pm, one can enjoy and chill their evening away. The drink option in the menu is pretty extensive and I manage to try 60% of the cocktail from the menu!

Breakfast in Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore

With 2 option to have our breakfast – Pacific Club Lounge or The Edge buffet breakfast, we decide to have our main breakfast in Pacific Club and visit the edge afterwards. Breakfast starts from 630am - 10am for both dining area

Champagne are available at Pacific Club Lounge and I’m not surprised to see people enjoying them at 7am. My personal favourite is the truffle egg served in the lounge. You could even taste bits of truffle in the egg. 

Compare to the breakfast spread at the Pacific Club Lounge, the breakfast at the Edge had a wider variety of food as well as a live station for guest. If there is anything I’d like to highlight, its gonna be the dim sum! Unfortunately, there are no champagne or truffle egg served. It was very crowded when we were there. Overall, I still prefer to have breakfast in the Pacific Club Lounge.

Facilities

 

The swimming pool in Pan Pacific Singapore is child-friendly. With a separate kids pool next to the main pool, family with kids can spend their evening there. Beside the pool, one can work out in the well-equipped gym.

Overall, we had an amazing stay in Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore. From the newly-furbished room to quality food, Pan Pacific had it all. Basic room in Pan Pacific starts from $300 $470 and I highly recommend you get the Pacific rooms if your pocket allows.
