Ba Na Hills is a sprawling mountaintop resort in Da Nang that feels like a cross between a medieval French village and a modern theme park. To make the most of our trip, we booked a stay at the Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills for one night.
Getting to Bana Hill from Danang
Located about 25km (a 45–60 minute drive) from the Da Nang city center, we found it easiest to pre-book a private car from the Pullman Danang Beach Resort to the cable car station.

Tip: Book the car transfer separately if you are travelling in a group of 3 or more.
If you are visiting for a day trip, your driver will drop you at the main station, but hotel guests should let their driver know to head specifically to the Thac Toc Tien Station for check-in.
Opening Time and Tickets to Bana Hill
The resort is open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, though certain attractions like Fantasy Park (8:30 AM to 7:00 PM). and the Alpine Coaster typically operate from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
When it comes to tickets, there are several types available, which you can purchase directly at the station or via Klook. A standard cable car ticket includes your entrance fee and access to most activities, such as the famous Golden Bridge and the Fantasy Park indoor playground, though the Alpine Coaster is sold separately.
Hotel guests have the added benefit of purchasing these tickets at a discounted rate when checking in at Thac Toc Tien Station.
Dining option in Bana Hill
For dining, the mountain offers plenty of variety, from quick bites at Kungfu Noodle, Lotteria and Starbucks to full buffet options that can be bundled with your ticket. There are plenty of dining options to choose from.
Things to do in Bana Hills
Cable Car Ride
The highlight of the journey is undoubtedly the cable car ride, one of the longest non-stop systems in the world, which offers breath-taking views of the Toc Tien Waterfall and the lush jungle below
Golden Bridge
Most visitors head straight to the iconic Golden Bridge (Cầu Vàng), known for its massive "Hands of God" support structures. While hotel guests are granted exclusive early access to the bridge from 6:15 AM to 6:45 AM before the general public arrives, the mountain weather can be unpredictable—it was pouring during our stay, so we unfortunately missed our sunrise window.
French Town
A replica of a medieval French town with a cathedral, cobblestone streets, and live European-style street performances.
Fantasy Park
A large indoor amusement park. Most games are included in your ticket. Almost all arcade games are included in the ticket. Don't miss the Alpine Coaster (additional cost), where you control your own speed on a mountain slide . Thankfully there’s a indoor amusement park to keep the little one entertained. It was drizzling and there were not much things to do in the mountain.
Linh Ung Pagoda
Home to a massive 27-meter tall white Buddha statue overlooking the mountains. It's much more peaceful than the main theme park areas.
Le Jardin D’Amour
Nine themed flower gardens that are perfect for photography. Do note that the weather in Danang is pretty cold! So do bring a jacket and a umbrella/raincoat! Just remember that the mountain air is much colder than the city, so be sure to bring a jacket and an umbrella.
Ultimately, unless your priority is capturing off-peak photos in the village or catching that early morning bridge access, a day trip is usually more than enough time to explore everything Ba Na Hills has to offer!
