Time To Fly 2026 Fares from Singapore
Singapore Airlines has announced eight headline fares so far, all round-trip in Economy Class. These are "from" prices for selected travel periods, so the fare on your dates may be higher. SQ says more fare deals are coming, so check again on 23 October.
| Destination | Round-trip Economy from | Our guide |
|---|---|---|
| Bangkok | S$258 | 6-day Bangkok itinerary for first-timers |
| Da Nang | S$258 | 5D4N Da Nang with kids |
| Hangzhou | S$388 | Hangzhou, Wuzhen, Shanghai and Suzhou |
| Taipei | S$388 | 6D5N Taipei itinerary |
| Sydney | S$558 | Melbourne and Sydney in 9 days |
| London | S$988 | |
| Los Angeles | S$988 | |
| Madrid | S$988 |
Bangkok and Da Nang are the best value for a short break. Sydney at S$558 is a good price for a school-holiday trip, and the three long-haul fares at S$988 suit anyone planning Europe or the US for 2027.
Where to Go: Best Time, Things to Do and How Many Days
The sale covers travel from January to September 2027, so here is when each destination is at its best within that window, what to do there and how long to stay. We book several of our 2026 trip from this deal and score a few pretty good deal for our trip to Danang and Shenzhen!
Bangkok (from S$258)
Best time: January and February, when it's cooler and dry; March to May is very hot and June to September is rainy season. Things to do: the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, a Chao Phraya boat ride, Chatuchak Weekend Market and street food in Chinatown (Yaowarat). How many days: 4 to 5 days. Our 6-day Bangkok itinerary adds a day trip out of the city.
Da Nang (from S$258)
Best time: February to August, the dry season; avoid September onwards, when the heavy rain and storms start. Things to do: Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge, My Khe Beach, the Marble Mountains and an evening in Hoi An's lantern-lit old town. How many days: 4 to 5 days, which is what we did in our 5D4N Da Nang trip with kids and 5D4N Danang & Hoi An trip
Hangzhou (from S$388)
Best time: March to May, when West Lake is at its prettiest in spring; summers are hot and humid. Things to do: cycle or walk around West Lake, visit Lingyin Temple, sip Longjing tea in the tea villages and take a day trip to the water town of Wuzhen. How many days: 3 to 4 days, or 5 to 6 if you add Shanghai or Suzhou like our Hangzhou, Wuzhen, Shanghai and Suzhou trip.
Taipei (from S$388)
Best time: March to May, when it's mild; summer (June to September) is hot, with typhoons possible. Things to do: Taipei 101, night markets like Raohe and Shilin, the hot springs in Beitou and a day trip to Jiufen. How many days: 4 to 5 days for Taipei alone; see our 6D5N Taipei itinerary.
Sydney (from S$558)
Best time: March to May (autumn), when it's warm but not too hot; January and February are peak summer. Things to do: the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk, the ferry to Manly and a day trip to the Blue Mountains. How many days: 5 to 6 days, or 9 days to add Melbourne like our Melbourne and Sydney itinerary.
London (from S$988)
Best time: May to September, for the warmest weather and long daylight hours. Things to do: the British Museum and other free museums, the Tower of London, a West End show and Borough Market. How many days: 5 to 6 days, or longer if you add a day trip to Oxford or Bath.
Bank Card Offers and Promo Codes
Several banks have their own offers for the sale. Most need you to book on singaporeair.com or the SingaporeAir app and pay with that bank's card. Many are limited to the first few hundred customers, so book early if you're counting on one.
| Card | Offer | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Citi Prestige Mastercard | Up to S$480 off Business or Premium Economy; up to S$240 off Economy | Codes CITIPRESTIGE (Business/Premium Economy) and CITIPRESTIGE60 (Economy) |
| CIMB credit cards | S$60 cashback on S$1,200 spend, or S$250 on S$3,000 spend | Register from 23 October; first 300 and first 200 cardmembers respectively |
| DBS/POSB cards | S$50 off return fares | Code released and valid on 23 October only; excludes Southeast Asia |
| Maybank cards | S$50 off per return ticket, up to S$100 (2 adults) | Code released and valid on 23 October only; excludes Southeast Asia |

The DBS, Maybank and HSBC codes take money off the base fare only, not taxes, fees, seats or baggage. They work on round trips starting in Singapore on SIA-operated flights, for up to 2 passengers per booking. Children and infants get a pro-rated discount.
Which Deal Suits Your Trip
Bangkok or Da Nang: the S$258 fare is the deal. The DBS, Maybank and HSBC codes exclude Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, so don't plan around them for these trips. CIMB's cashback and the Mastercard KrisPay offer are based on spend, not destination, but S$1,000 or more is a lot for a short Southeast Asia trip unless you're booking for the whole family.
Taipei, Hangzhou or Sydney: these routes aren't in Southeast Asia, so the DBS, Maybank and HSBC codes apply. For a couple, that is up to S$100–S$120 off. If you hold one of these cards, check the code on your dates before you book at the fair.
London, Los Angeles or Madrid: a family of three or four will usually pass the S$1,200 to S$3,000 spend thresholds. Citi Prestige holders flying Premium Economy or Business get the biggest discount of the sale.
✈️ Comparing before you commit? Trip.com is one of the fair's partners, so you can also compare flight and hotel deals on Trip.com for the same dates.
How to Get the Most from the Sale
- Pick two or three date options first. The fares apply only to selected travel periods, and blackout dates may apply. School holidays are usually the first to go.
- Book promo-code fares online. The bank codes work only on singaporeair.com or the app. The DBS and Maybank codes are valid for 23 October only, so have your dates and passport details ready that morning.
- Check the code before you pay. The discount shows on the checkout page. Used codes aren't refunded if you cancel or change the booking.
- Book your hotel once the flight is fixed. Compare rates on Trip.com and pick a free-cancellation rate, since your 2027 plans may still change.
- Buy travel insurance early. With a 2027 trip booked now, a policy with trip-cancellation cover protects your fare if plans change. Check the policy wording for when cover starts.
